14 innovative companies – Datos IO, DriveScale, FogCoin, Hedvig, Igneous, iXsystems, Minio, Panasas, Quantum, Qumulo, Rubrik, Spanning, Sysdig and Vexata – to join EMEA and US IT Press in December 2017

San Francisco, Calif. - November 22, 2017 - The IT Press Tour (www.ITPressTour.com), a leading media event launched in June 2010, today announced participating companies for the 25th edition organized the week of 4th of December in Silicon Valley. Fourteen companies – innovators, pioneers, leaders, references in their respective category – will participate to this amazing new edition (by alpha order): Datos IO, DriveScale, FogCoin, Hedvig, Igneous, iXsystems, Minio, Panasas, Quantum, Qumulo, Rubrik, Spanning, Sysdig and Vexata.

"We say that for every edition but again the program is fantastic with several leaders and innovators in the hot Software-Defined Storage, Data Management, Big Data and Container market segments with a special mention to Bitcoin and blockchain technologies. Always good to meet again companies we have discovered in the past mixed with real new ones for the program," said Philippe Nicolas, creator of The IT Press Tour. "We also started to invite US famous IT journalists and this edition starts this new iteration towards a global press event," added Philippe.

“And we beat several records once more: 7800+ articles, 175 companies, 258 sessions, 550+ CxO met after 24 editions, illustrating again the impact of the tour since we launched it. I remember early sessions we did with some companies that obtained incredible visibility with the tour, without us they would have stayed in the dark.” concluded Philippe Nicolas.

A few quotes from participant companies*:

  • AetherWorks – Robert MacInnis, Ph.D., CEO & Founder
"The IT Press Tour provides essential international engagement for AetherWorks, an NYC-based company, as we build a global marketplace for compute through FogCoin. We have worked with the Press Tour in the past when delivering brand new tech to market, and we look forward to meeting with this year’s lineup to discuss FogCoin and ActiveAether."

  • Datos IO – Tarun Thakur, CEO & Co-Founder
"Datos IO is very excited to host the IT Press Tour for the second year in a row. The opportunity to spend quality time with top European analysts in our headquarters is invaluable. From one briefing, we are able to generate tremendous awareness thru key influencers which is crucial as we deliver new products, scale our customer base, and expand rates to market for our industry-first cloud data management solution."

  • Hedvig – Avinash Lakshman, CEO & Co-founder
"Advances in software-defined storage and distributed systems technology are changing the composition of modern data centers. Today’s digital infrastructure is defined by platform-agnostic data management solutions that can support any application, any location, and any cloud. We look forward to hosting the IT Press Tour delegates again this year to discuss Hedvig innovations and demonstrate how we enable enterprises to achieve greater agility and scale."

  • Igneous Systems – Steve Pao, CMO
"Igneous looks forward to welcoming the IT Press Tour, which provides us the opportunity to expand our market awareness to Europe. The IT Press Tour enables us to share with leading European IT journalists why customers are excited about how Igneous streamlines their secondary storage with our hybrid cloud and consolidated backup and archive solutions, all offered as-a-service."

  • iXsystems – Michael Lauth, CEO & Co-Founder
"As iXsystems continues to attract customers from around the world to its enterprise storage appliance, TrueNAS, the timing couldn't be better to host the IT Press Tour and engage with European journalists. This international stage enhances our presence in Europe and gives our European partners well-timed exposure in their home markets. As worldwide storage demands continue their meteoric rise, solutions like TrueNAS, that embrace the collaborative open source community and support a wide variety of enterprise use cases, will help European companies and governments keep pace."

  • Minio – Anand Babu Periasamy, CEO & Co-founder
"IT Press Tour has contributed significantly to Minio's European adoption. We are excited to host world renowned infrastructure journalists from Europe third year in row."

  • Panasas – Jim Donovan, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer
"We are looking forward to participating in the IT Infrastructure press tour and hosting the leading European IT journalists at our headquarters in Sunnyvale, CA. At Panasas, we believe the right storage solution is a key contributing factor in driving innovation and bringing big ideas to life. Our customers tap into the tremendous potential of unstructured data to advance genomic research, accelerate visual effects, improve advanced aircraft design, and deliver many other innovations made possible by high-performance applications. We have made it our mission to deliver storage solutions that accelerate workflows, simplify data management, and deliver the flexibility to configure to the customer’s unique workflows."

  • Qumulo – Jay Wampold, Vice President of Marketing
"Data is the digital currency of the global economy, yet much of it is effectively locked away in silos of legacy storage systems. Customers have been clamoring for a solution that allows them to unlock the value of their data anywhere by flexibly scaling file storage across geographies, the cloud and in the data center. Qumulo File Fabric (QF2) delivers; enabling businesses to maximize the value of their file-based data to achieve advancements that were unimaginable just a few years ago. As Qumulo brings QF2 to the European market, The IT Press Tour is an excellent opportunity for European journalists to gain exposure to the latest innovation in distributed file storage."

  • Spanning Cloud Apps – Jeff Erramouspe, CEO
"We last participated in the IT Press Tour three years ago and a lot of incredible things have happened at Spanning since, most notably our return to being an independent company in April of this year. We also opened an overseas data centre based in Dublin, Ireland to serve EU users and have achieved incredible growth with Spanning Backup for Office 365. We have customers located all across Europe, and I'm really looking forward to sharing our plans for future growth and learning more about the European market from the region's top journalists and bloggers."

  • Sysdig – Loris Degioanni, CEO & Founder
"We are excited to host the IT Press Tour again. In the past year, Docker and Kubernetes adoption in Europe has skyrocketed. Yet organizations still need the tooling to properly run containers in production effectively. We're excited to partner with this elite group of journalists to show their audiences the latest in securing, monitoring, and troubleshooting containers."
